Family Support Programs
in St. Joseph County
Families come to Families First Center during moments of uncertainty and transition.
Our programs are designed to meet families with safety, dignity, and care—supporting children while preserving meaningful connections whenever possible.
Each program plays a role in helping families stay connected, build stability, and take the next step forward. Services are trauma-informed, court-aligned, and delivered in spaces intentionally created to feel calm, welcoming, and human.
Support for Families,
Every Step of the Way

Supervised Visitation
Services
We provide supervised visitation for families referred by the Indiana Department of Child Services or local courts, ensuring safe, structured parent-child contact in a home-like space.

Family Recovery Court Supervised Visitation
We oversee supervised visitation for families in Family Recovery Court, aligning visits with recovery milestones and supporting reunification alongside sobriety and accountability.

Home-Based Case
Management Services
We support families in their homes by addressing barriers, building life skills, and connecting households to resources that promote stability and prevent crises.

Parent Education
Programs
We offer evidence-based parent education that builds skills in communication, discipline, and trauma-informed parenting to support healthy relationships and reunification.

Trauma-Informed Family Support Services
We deliver services with consistency, respect, and care—recognizing how trauma affects behavior, relationships, and regulation, and creating environments where families feel safe.

Concrete Family Support Services
We provide limited practical supports, such as transportation or food assistance, to reduce barriers and help families stay engaged during critical moments.
