The Safe Haven Project
Every year, more than 200 children and 100 families rely on Families First Center for supervised visitation and family support in a space designed to promote safety, dignity, and healing. After more than a century of use, our South Bend facility needs critical updates to remain a trauma-informed, welcoming environment.
The Safe Haven Project will fund essential upgrades—including exterior repairs, new windows, updated flooring, child-friendly furniture, and safety equipment—so families can focus on rebuilding trust.
Thanks to a $33,000 commitment from the Community Foundation of St. Joseph County, all gifts are matched dollar for dollar as we work to raise the remaining $33,000.
